‘Avatar’ Beats Out ‘Titanic’ Internationally

With awards coming in left and right, James Cameron’s sci-fi thriller Avatar has officially topped the director’s other box office hit Titanic as it rakes in over a billion dollars internationally.
According to E! Online, Avatar took home $1.29 billion on the international front surpassing Titanic’s record at $1.24 billion, toppling James’ own best and if things keep looking up it has the potential to beat out the movie’s worldwide numbers at $1.848 million.
And to keep the ball rolling, the flick starring Zoe Saldana and Sigourney Weaver could even beat Titantic’s domestic gross of $600.8 million sooner than expected with an already whopping $552.8 million under its belt, E! Online reports.
After receiving more than one Golden Globe win, the coveted Oscars could completely throw Titanic out of the water, which took home eleven Academy Awards in 1998.
If James Cameron’s record was going to be taken over, at least he is only facing himself as competition.

Sandra Bullock to "Hot" Husband: "I Want You So Much!"

Trophies make Sandra Bullock frisky for her hubby!
When she won a Screen Actors Guild award Saturday for outstanding performance by a female leading actor for The Blind Side, Bullock paid homage to her man Jesse James in a sweet thank-you that turned steamy.
"You get dressed up in monkey suits and you sit at a table with people you don't know," Bullock, 45, gushed to James. "And I leave you there, and then you come back with, like Morgan Freeman's email. I don't know how you do it."
She added, "I love you so much, and you're really hot. And I want you so much!"
Motorcycle builder and TLC star James, whom Bullock married in 2005, blushed a little as he looked on from the audience.
Bullock was the butt of a good-natured joke earlier in the evening, when she presented a lifetime achievement award to Betty White (her costar in The Proposal). White praised Bullock's continued success and accolades with a dig: ""Isn't it heartening to see how far a girl as plain as she is can go?"

Hollywood teams up to help Haiti

Just more than a week after a major earthquake rocked the poverty-stricken country, the stars are aligning to aid disaster relief in Haiti. Hosted by George Clooney in LA, Wyclef Jean in New York and Anderson Cooper in Haiti, a two-hour telethon, “Hope for Haiti Now,” will air on several major networks tonight. Performers include Madonna, Justin Timberlake, Beyoncé, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Jennifer Hudson, Keith Urban and many, many more. Other A-listers, such as Nicole Kidman, Robert Pattinson and Will Smith, will be on the line to receive donations. Catch the celebs — and contribute to a good cause — tonight at 8 p.m. ET.

Andy Dick Arrested for Sexual Abuse

Not so funny: comic Andy Dick was arrested at a bar early Saturday morning in West Virginia, TMZ reports.
The alleged charges: two felony counts of sexual abuse.
Dick, 44, is reportedly in custody at Western Regional Jail. The star had performed a show at the Funny Bone in Huntington, West Virginia.
It's not his first brush with the law: in 1999, following a car crash, he pled guilty to cocaine and marijuana possession and avoided jail time by completing a drug diversion program.
TMZ reports that he is also currently on probation for "sexual assault" at a pizza restaurant in 2008.
Dick appeared in 2009's Sober House on VH1, a spinoff of Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew, and discussed how his problems with alcohol have provoked his outrageous behavior.

Conan's leaving The Tonight Show

After weeks of contract negotiations and verbal mudslinging, it's official that Conan O'Brien is leaving The Tonight Show. On January 22, Conan will end his seven-month run as the host and his last guests will be Tom Hanks and Will Ferrell, who was Conan's first interview when he took over the show from Jay Leno. The funnyman is getting a reported $32 million to walk away from the network, but will be unable to return to TV until September. "In the end, Conan was appreciative of the steps NBC made to take care of his staff and crew, and decided to supplement the severance they were getting out of his own pocket," says his agent, adding: "Now he just wants to get back on the air as quickly as possible."

Meet Jennifer Hudson's Newborn Son!

Motherhood definitely seems to agree with Jennifer Hudson, who gave birth to her first child, David – named after her fiancé, David Otunga – on Aug. 10.
"I love being nurturing and caring because I love to see other people happy," says Hudson. "Who better to devote my time to than my own child?"
From singing lullabies ("He can be crying at the top of his lungs and just turn off like a switch") to frequent bottle-feedings ("I’ve never seen a baby eat like he does!"), the singer (who chose not to address the tragic loss of her family members last October) offers PEOPLE an intimate look into her new life as a mom.

How hard was it keeping your pregnancy under wraps?
"David and I were the only people who knew for a long time. I would forget I was pregnant, it was so easy. I didn’t have any morning sickness, no cravings either. I just
thought, ‘Oh, well, we’ll wait until it’ll tell on itself.’ I didn’t show until I was seven months so that made it easy right there."

Your son was delivered via C-section, what was your recovery like?
"Everybody told me how much it was going to hurt afterwards but I think I have a different tolerance for pain than others. By that night after I had the baby, I'm like, 'Look, I can’t sit in this bed anymore. I’ve got to get up!’ I’ve been up and about since he was born. To me, the pain is no different than when you work out a muscle you’ve never worked out before and it’s sore."

Has his personality emerged yet?
"He has a lot of personality, like David. He’s always been a good sleeper. His favorite time to smile now is diaper changes. Or when he spits up on you – he just cracks up like he thinks it’s the funniest thing. And his bottle is his pacifier. With a pacifier, it’s like he knows, ‘Ain’t nothing come out of here. No, I don’t want that. Where’s the real deal?’ His best friend is that bottle; that’s all he wants."

Would you be supportive if he wants to pursue a career in entertainment?
"We'll definitely encourage education. His father is an education fanatic so we definitely want him to get an education and go to school. My mom always said, 'Whatever you want to do, I'll support you as long as you’re happy.' So I will do the same."
