ABC's Ugly Betty Cancelled

Ugly Betty is hanging up her specs, taking off her polyester suit and removing her retainers for one last time.
RadarOnline.com have learned that staff on ABC's Ugly Betty have just been informed that the show's current fourth season will be it's last.
In addition ABC have trimmed two shows from the season, making a total of 20 instead of the originally green lit 22.
The news comes as no surprise, as the once hit show has been suffering ratings wise of late.
There is a little good news for fans though, ABC have given the creative team enough time to work out a top notch series finale and finish on a high note.
Executive producer Silvio Horta and ABC president Steve McPherson confirmed the news in this joint statement: “We’ve mutually come to the difficult decision to make this Ugly Betty’s final season, and are announcing now as we want to allow the show ample time to write a satisfying conclusion. We are extremely proud of this groundbreaking series, and felt it was important to give the fans a proper farewell.”

Ellen Birthday!

Today on 26 January is the day of anniversary of Ellen DeGeneres.
Emmy-winning talk-show host Ellen DeGeneres was born on January 26, 1958, in Metairie, Louisiana, a suburb of New Orleans.
Her father, insurance salesman Elliot De Generes and her mother Elizabeth, a real-estate agent, were divorced when she was 16 years old. Her mother remarried, and her new husband, salesman Roy Gruessendorf, moved the family to Atlanta, Texas.
After graduating from Atlanta High School in 1976, Ellen attended the University of New Orleans as a communication major, but she dropped out after one semester. She held a wide variety of jobs until she turned to stand-up comedy, making her bones at small clubs and coffeehouses before working her way up to emcee Clyde's Comedy Club by 1981.
Beginning in the early 1980s, she toured nationally and was named the funniest person in America after winning a competition sponsored by the cable network Showtime. This lead to better gigs, including her first appearance on "The Tonight Show" (1962).
Though DeGeneres' early forays into series television were not successful (she appeared as a supporting player in two short-lived TV situation comedies in the period 1989-92, "Open House" (1989) and "Laurie Hill" (1992)), she scored a hit headlining her own 1994 sitcom on ABC "These Friends of Mine" (later renamed "Ellen" (1994) after its first season). She made TV history in April 1997 when her character, and DeGeneres herself personally, revealed that she was a lesbian. However, the show was canceled the following season due to declining ratings, after which DeGeneres returned to the stand-up circuit. In 2001, DeGeneres launched a new series, "The Ellen Show" (2001), on CBS, but it suffered from poor ratings and was canceled.
Redemption as a television artiste came in 2003, when DeGeneres' daytime talk show, "Ellen: The Ellen DeGeneres Show" (2003) proved to be both a critical hit and a commercial success. Along with good ratings, the show has won unprecedented kudos from the industry, winning 15 Emmy Awards in its first three seasons on the air and becoming the first talk show in TV history to win the Emmy Award for Outstanding Talk Show in its first three seasons.
DeGeneres has also made a name for herself as a host of awards shows. She hosted the Grammy Awards in 1996 and 1997, as well as the Primetime Emmy Awards in 2001 and 2005In February 2007, she will have the ultimate TV awards show gig, hosting the Oscars.
As a film actress, she starred in Mr. Wrong, appeared in EDtv and The Love Letter, and provided the voice of Dory in the Disney-Pixar's animated film Finding Nemo.
Ellen and her girlfriend, Portia de Rossi, got married on August 16th, 2008 at Ellen's home in Beverly Hills, California. They live in Beverly Hills, with three dogs and four cats and both are vegan.
On September 9, 2009, it was confirmed that DeGeneres would replace Paula Abdul as a judge of the ninth season of American Idol. Her role will start only after the contestant auditions. DeGeneres also reportedly signed a contract to be a judge on the show for at least five seasons.
For me as a fan of Ellen, she is the best comedian of all time

Happy Birthday Ellen!!

Britney & Jason Take the Boys to ‘The Tooth Fairy’

Britney Spears had a good end to her weekend after getting off to a bad start on Friday.
Britney and Jason Trawick took little Jayden James Federline and Sean Preston Federline to see the new children’s movie The Tooth Fairy in L.A. on Sunday.
While Britney didn’t seem to happy about the cameras following her, it was a nice family outing for the boys!

Heidi Klum Keeps Her Heidi to Herself

Whose Heidi Klum posing with? Well, it’s suppose to be her wax figure at Madame Tussauds that she unveiled in Berlin, Germany, but not sure this one quite hits the mark! While the wax figure is gorgeous just like Heidi, they don’t appear very similar — it looks like she’s just posing with one of her fellow Victoria Secret angels! Maybe if she had worn a low cut top and put her hair up to match we’d see it. Guess Heidi is just too beautiful to replicate!

OMG! See Lady Gaga in a Purple Body Suit

Another day, another wacky outfit by Lady Gaga.
Over the weekend, the singer, 23, stepped out in a purple body suit following her final performance at NYC's Radio City Music Hall. She accessorized with a pair of black boots and circular shades.
She recently cancelled four previous shows due to exhaustion, but she was in top shape for the Big Apple stop on her Monster Ball Tour last week.
She recently cancelled four previous shows due to exhaustion, but she was in top shape for the Big Apple stop on her Monster Ball Tour last week.
Critics were thrilled.
Jim Farber of the New York Daily News wrote that she performed "so well that her show didn't require quite so much theatrical camouflage to keep us amused" on stage. (During one show, he noted she dressed as an intergalactic Viking, a spike-headed monster, a human clothes hanger, a murderous vulture and a gladiator straight out of Fellini's "Satyricon.")
Her tour takes London next month.
