Rosie O'Donnell Talks Life After Split on Oprah
Who knew Rosie O'Donnell could be so level headed?
On Monday's episode of the Oprah Winfrey Show, Ro sits down with the media mogul to talk about life after the dissolution of her 5-year marriage to Kelli Carpenter, and finding new love with artist Tracy Kachtick-Anders.
The biggest transition since the split, Rosie tells Oprah, is raising their four children. "We co-parent, but we share equal time [and] we're never really without them," she explains. "It's free flowing, and we do nights together, too."
While the two have put their children first, settling into life apart hasn't been all easy on the powerhouse personality.
"She lives nearby—and not close enough," O'Donnell says. "I wanted her to live in the same town and she was like, 'I don't know how good that's gonna be for me.'" To Kelli's response, Rosie revisits her initial reaction: "Like what are you saying? You can't exist—okay, calm down."
But the new and zen O'Donnell just laughs off her overreaction by singing a little rendition of "Kumbaya" to Oprah's audience.
Now this is a Rosie we can get on board with.
