Two months after the singer’s tragic death, an unsealed search warrant has revealed that Michael Jackson had lethal levels of the powerful sedative propofol in his system as he took his last breath. According to the report, which became public in Houston today, the late pop star’s personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, told police that he gave his patient 50 mg of propofol through an IV every night for six weeks. The doctor added that he had administered a reduced dosage of 25 mg of the drug at 10:40 a.m. on the day of Michael’s death, which led to the King of Pop’s untimely demise of cardiac arrest on June 25. The document states that Michael had Valium, tamsulosin, lorazepam, temazepam, clonazepam, trazodone and tizanidine in his body as well.The Jackson family was sad but not surprised to receive the results from the autopsy, and issued the following statement: “The Jackson family has full confidence in the legal process, and commends the ongoing efforts of the LA County Coroner, the LA District Attorney and the LA Police Department. The family looks forward to the day that justice can be served.”
