Comedian and actor Wanda Sykes and her wife Alex welcomed twins on April 27, a rep for Sykes has just revealed to People magazine.Alex gave birth to the babies, the first children for the couple. Their daughter, Olivia Lou, weighed in at 6 lbs., 7 oz., and was 19-inches long. Son Lucas Claude arrived at 7 lbs., 9 oz., and 20-inches long.
Wanda's rep told People, "All are happy and healthy and at home."
It's been a big year for Wanda. She and Alex (who has so far stayed out of the public eye) were married on October 25, 2008, before Proposition 8 outlawed same-sex marriage in California, then Wanda famously came out at an anti-Prop 8. rally in November. In addition to her ongoing role in the CBS comedy The New Adventures of Old Christine, Sykes continues to do stand-up and is a frequent guest on talk shows like Ellen to The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
